The CF3918 8-Gallon Filter Bag (a/k/a 391-8) was designed for the larger CV-Series of NuTone® Central Vacuum Cleaning Systems. It is basically NuTone's old standby, the 391, only larger. 2-Gallons larger! Quite frankly, many NuTone® customers are savvy enough to put this larger 8-Gallon Bag in the standard size Power Units. This gives them enhanced air flow, and it simply takes longer before it needs to be replaced. Another advantage of the CF3918 8-Gallon Filter Bag is that its weight never hangs from the nipple. Its base actually sits on the floor of the pail. This way, the bag cannot inadvertently pull loose from the nipple. Because if that happens, you may be in for an unpleasant repair bill if the dust and debris clogs the secondary filter and the motor runs without enough air to help cool it. So, even though the Deluxe 8-Gallon Filter Bags were developed for the larger CV450, CV750 & CV850 Power Units , they are just as home in the standard size NuTone® 350, 353, CV350, CV352, CV353, CV400 & CV653 Power Units.
